Atlanta History Museum Cafe bookstoreAbout Atlanta History Museum Cafe bookstoreThis concept was for Atlanta History Museum, the extension for a new coffee shop/bookstore/event space. The idea was to create alot of flexible spoace making use of the new architectural extension using large windows, but also allowing the space to be closed off for provate events. The full height book case becomes a self lit scupltural element lighting up the space in the evening to be viewed from the main road. The "garden gate" sliding metal doors bring some of the huge acarage of gardens that surround the museum into the interior & also alllow for sliding & securing the space. The lighting is reminiscent of garen lanterns again stemming from the parkland surrounding the museum |
